Flag of Flags at the River Raisin Battlefield had 12 Kiwanians who volunteered
Community Meal was well received. Ig thanked the Girls Scouts and Acton Club members
Club guideline/procedures of how we do things at the club, are near completion. Contact President Troy if you like to review them
Cajie is putting together a Welcome Orientation package for new members. He will be contacting long-time Kiwanis for help on this project.

5/17 – Monroe Center lunch + Program
5/18 – Oaks of Righteousness Ladies Group Fundraiser Dinner at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging from 5-6:30 pm
5/19 – Sports Triathlon. If only interested in the steak dinner at the end of the event it will be $20. Contact Dave or Troy so they can let the cook know.
5/19 – ISD Prom
5/23 – Manchester Kiwanis Super Meeting

Speaker: Kiwanian Kristin Irwian ED of Monroe YMCA introduced our speaker Cory Welch – Mission Advancement Director YMCA. The Y is more than just gym and swim. One of the programs highlighted that strengthens our community was the year round food program for underserved kids. In 2017 the Y fed 1,248 kids with 16,699 meals and snacks. The Y is a non-profit 501 c (3) that has plenty of programs for the community. Check their website for details: http://www.ymcaofmonroe.org/
