Kiwanis meeting of September 18th, 2019

Today’s meeting was quite busy with Joni Gerweck and Kelsey Kyser as our guests.
Agenda items included :
Iggy thanked members and the Aktion Club for helping at the Community Meal-served 125 +
President Dale Stringham reported on the Save the Strays event
Lt. Gov. Suzie Cox Grizzle gave a report on the Aktion Club Convention including several awards
She also gave out dates for events planned for the ISD The 1st one will be a Halloween Dance on October 25
Kelsey Kyser will be inducted into the club next Wednesday 9/25/19
Deb Staelgraeve gave a preliminary report on the Art Auction and Tina Heilman thanked the club for the support given
Birthday wishes went to Karen Lemerand
Gloria Rafko celebrated a Club Anniversary this week
Jim Keegan and several members of the club installed POW and MIA flags at the River Raisin Battlefield right after the meeting
The bowling team took 2 points this week

Stepping Stones Therapeutic Riding Inc. was our program today. They were able to provide a history of the organization and asked that we take part  by volunteering at the sessions they provide or by a monetary contribution. There annual Holiday Benefit Auction is on November 23,2019 at the 4-H Activity Hall
