Kiwanis meeting of November 30th

Past member Dr. Jodie Bean was our guest today.The agenda for the day followed:
1.The new Kiwanis roster has been e-mailed out to the members
2.The Ida Light Parade is this Saturday 12/3/16 and members who signed up to help are asked to be there by 2:30
3.Karen Lemerand gave a report on the Kiwanis Lottery ticket sales and asked members who can’t sell their allotment of tickets to contact her so we can redistribute them to members who can use a few more
4.The Chamber of Commerce sent a Thank You note to the club for our help in the Holiday Parade
5.The new club shirts and hats are in and can be picked up at the meeting
6.Bills for October-November and December will be going out soon
7.Poinsettias will be in by Monday 12/5/16 so members can pick them up and distribute them
8.The bowling team took 0 points this week
9.Wish lists for the Salvation Army Christmas Party were handed out. The party will be at 4:30-6:30 next Wednesday.Members who took lists are asked to bring the gifts wrapped to the meeting next week 12/7
10.The Presidents Holiday Party will be 12/10/16.Members are asked to sign up so we can get a good count
11.12/17/16 will be the Salvation Army Bell Ringing day
12.The World’s Largest Baby Shower and Spouses Day will be on 12/21/16
13.Members who took out Patron/Display ads are asked to get their money in ASAP.
Cassandra Kiley was our guest speaker.
Her topic was the newly formed Circle K Group at MCCC.They have been super busy with several projects including :
a.Flat Rock Speedway Ushers
b.Special Olympics 1/2 Marathon
c.Stacy’s Sparkles Fundraiser
d.Helping out at the Salvation Army
e.Bake Sale
f.Conducting a bottle drive
g.Getting ready to host a District Event
They will have an Induction in January for new officers
She answered questions at the end of her presentation and thanked our club for all we do for them
