Kiwanis meeting of May 10th
Today was Pastor Appreciation Day at our Kiwanis meeting and we were blessed to have several clergy in attendance from Monroe County. A big THANK YOU goes out to Jack Ready and Frank Arnold for putting this event together.
After introductions we went into our weekly business :
Troy Goodnough and Dan Maletich celebrated Anniversaries in the club this week
This Friday 5/12 we will be putting on the Special Olympics Track meet at Jefferson High School. Please be there by 9:30 am if you can help
The Community Service Committee could use some help at the National Battlefied on May 18-18 to install flags. See Jim Jacobs or Jim Keegan if you can help
Thank you notes were received from The Animal Control Office, Carleton Rotary and MCOP for our help lately
The Community Service will be asking for voluteers for Club 2017. See Jim Jacobs if you will be available
Doug Kuras gave a report on the Project 2nd Chance Fundraiser last week at Buffalo Wild Wings
Susie Cox Grizzle gave a report on the March of Dimes Walk from last Sunday
President David Thompson thanked all those who made it out to the Salvation Army 100 year Anniversary dinner last week

Pastor Ted Kerr from Prince of Peace was our guest speaker today. The focus of his talk was based on the 500 year Reformation of the Church. There will be a celebration in Sweden later this year.
They are asking all churches to join in this celebration as a joint effort.
He followed up by answering questions and thanking the club for the chance to speak
