Downtown Kiwanis meeting of March 30th, 2016
Our guests today included: Cassondra Kiley, Lt. Gov. Barb Duran, Jeff Bell, Michelle Lavoy and Mickey Germani as well as an interclub from Wyandotte Sunrise

4. April 8th-Riverview Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner
5. April 9th-Stepping Stones Cosmic Bowling Fundraiser at Nortel Lanes
6. April 15th-Blood Drive-See Jenise if you can help
7. April 16th-Spring Divisional-See Don Lutz for an interclub visit
8. April 16th-Celebrate Children at the Mall-See Iggy if you can help
9. May 1st-Paula’s House Fun Run needs volunteers to help at this event
10. May 13th-Special Olympics Track Meet at Jefferson High School-Volunteers will be needed
11. August 27th-Michigan District Convention in East Lansing with a drawing for a trip to Hawaii. Tickets are $10
12. Jeff Bell had his 1st reading for Membership
13. Michelle Lavoy and Mickey Germani had their 2nd reading for Membership
14. The next Board meeting is April 12th at noon
Our speaker today was Kristin Johnson from Habitat from Humanity and the Restore. Habitat celebrated their 20 yr. anniversary in 2015. They plan on building several more homes in 2016,after completing the 21 builds in Frenchtown. She also spoke about the Restore, where they say “Don’t Dump It-Donate It”. They also take in old Electronics for recycle.
