Kiwanis Meeting of January 11th
There were no guests today so we went right into our agenda for the week :
The Detroit # 1 Kiwanis club will be celebrating their 102nd Birthday on January 21st. Don Lutz would like to have members go with him to that event. Please contact him if you can make it
We have 3 Community Meals scheduled for The United Methodist Church. The dates are in March,April and June.Please contact Sara if you can help
Our next Board meeting is February 14th
There are still openings for the Cookie Class. Please contact President David or President-elect Troy to sign up any member of your Family
At the Board meeting we were told about the successful meeting at Ida Schools in regards to the new Key Club
The bowling team took 4 points on Tuesday night
There was discussion on the Valentie Dance at ISD,with more details to come
For our program we had Tim Lake,Barry Kinsey and Mike Gaynier to discuss the AIM Program at Monroe High School,for students in the 9th-12th grades.AIM stands for Allies In Monroe.It is a highly successful academic incentive and mentoring program for Monroe High School students This creative and innovative mentoring program is designed to enhance student achievment,increase the number of students furthering their education after high school,and improving student-staff relationships…helping to prepare students to launch students to their next stage of life.
This is the 5th year for this program,with over 500 students taking part.
2 of the students have excelled to the point they got Bill Gates Scholrships
