Kiwanis meeting of November 13th, 2019

Gene Jenkins celebrates a Birthday this week
Several members had club Anniversaries this week including :Jeff Yorkey, Suzie Cox Grizzle, Pastor Heather Boone,Mike Yaeger and Judy Hertzsch

The Salvation Army Christmas Party is on December 11th
The Ida Light Parade is on December 7th
Anyone who wants to get Poinsettias can contact Deb at Deb’s Flowers
Members who would like to lead the invocation let Dale know
Members who have ideas for a program contact Katie Burroughs
Invoices will be sent out to members who haven’t been to a meeting lately
The next Board meeting is on December 10th
There won’t be a meeting on 12/25/19 or 1/1/20
Lt. Gov. Suzie gave a report on the Key Club and their activities lately. They included :
-Entered the upcoming Ida Sled Race on Dec. 6th
-Kindness Week activities-wrote out 494 cards with Kindness
-During Win Big for Kids, Saline raised $5,000 and Bellville raised $2,000
-Flags were also put in the ground for Veterans Day
-Due to the bad weather this week the Divisional Meeting was moved to 11/20/19 at 6 pm. It will be held at the Little Brown Jug in Maybee
For our program,Tom Gerweck had a slide presentation of his time in the service. From 1982 until 1986 he was in the Air Force and then joined the Navy Reserves in 1989.
He was assigned to take pictures and was able to take several shots of airplanes and ships that we still see today. He gave a short history on each picture and answered questions. He also brought pictures to display for us to see.Kiwanis meeting of November 13th
