Kiwanis meeting of May 31st

Mark Cochran had his 3rd reading for membership and will be inducted at his next meeting
There will be a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the 4H activity Center at the Fairgrounds on June 9th for Hayden Mannor, a 7th grader at Ida Middle School. She needs a Spine Surgery to try and corrct her Scoliosis. The dinner will be from 4-7:30
We still need a lot of help at Flat Rock Speedway on June 17th to usher spectators to their seats. Contact Gene Jenkins if you can help

The Firefighter of the Year applications will be going out in the next few days
Mark Jagodzinski, General Manager of LET, was our guest speaker today. Most of the riders are those who need a ride for shopping, school and personal needs. They have bus service in the Monroe, Frenchtown and Bedford areas. They have fleet of 31 buses, drivers accrue almost 56,00 hours, 777,000 miles and carry an average of 417,00 riders per year.
LET provides 8 fixed routes, 6 Dial a Ride bus routes, 2 Tripper Service routes and 7 Essential Transportation Service Routes for Seniors and the Disabled. They also have ADA services for the disabled living within 3/4 quarters of a mile from their fixed route.
LET strives for SAFETY in all aspects in all aspects of operations
